Mike is a former professional freestyle skier and Canadian Olympic development coach from Lake Country, BC, who suffered a life-changing spinal cord injury in 2013, leaving him with incomplete paralysis. Against all odds and fuelled by relentless determination and a mindset rooted in gratitude, Mike walked out of the hospital just months later, and in 2020, he published his amazing journey in his memoir, Never Part of the Plan.
In the years following his accident, Mike has shared his experience with thousands as a professional speaker and consultant. He works with organizations, companies, and teams, and his goal is straightforward: to better prepare you to manage change, overcome adversity, and choose a mindset that will help you reach your full potential.
Today, Mike is focused on being the Founder and a Clinical Counsellor at Gratus Health, an online counselling service based in BC.
